Job Summary
Responsible for day-to-day financial planning assistance, analysis, and support for the entire Century West Group, Walker Projects, and Epec Consulting.
Senior Accountant
Reporting to the Controller, this individual will play a significant role in the financial operations of the Company. This individual will provide accurate financial information for distribution to management for analysis, forecasting and the preparation of financial reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advanced accounting duties which include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting with cash management systems
- Oversight of intercompany transactions
- Project accounting (including cost-to-date and budget analysis)
- Assisting with the preparation of various financial reports and plans
- Oversight of billing and sales agreement functions
- Timesheet and Billable hour analysis
- Monitoring the Company's cash and investment contracts
- Participate actively in quarter and year-end reporting
- Supervising the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipt functions as directed by the Controller
- Work closely with all team members to ensure compliance on financial reporting and reconciliation requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
- Experience in Simply Accounting and/or Timberline software is an asset
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good leadership, team building, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A CGA, CMA, or CA designation with 3 to 5 years related work experience
